Mission Statement
QUAKER MINISTRIES, INC. works to advance the Christian beliefs,
faith and practices of members of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) by:
- Publishing or republishing and distributing literature (including audio and video
cassettes and diskettes) that describes and explains the beliefs and practices of Friends
(“He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify ...” --Acts 5:42);
- Producing or sponsoring educational programs and activities for individuals and groups, including
a speakers bureau, internships, workshops and retreats (“And every day they did not cease
teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.” --Acts 5:42);
- Sponsoring or carrying out programs and activities that embody the gospel beliefs and practices of
Friends, and in particular the Quaker testimonies of simplicity, equality, community and harmony
(“Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only” --James 1:22).
